Since Hidden UK Gems began in 2020, the mission has been simple, to share the very best places to Stay, Eat, Drink & Do in the UK.

Over the last four years, through sharing these places on our Instagram, we have discovered so many amazing holiday cottages, hotels, restaurants, cafés, pubs, bars, vineyards, boutique cinemas and much more. Now, on our brand new website, we have partnered with the very best of these places to provide you with more detail about them through individual, bespoke listings. Starting with our first collection, The Cotswolds, Midlands & Surrounding Areas, we have curated a range of the finest gems in the area. Whether you are looking for a romantic treehouse escape, foodie Cotswold pub, riverside café or anything in between, we have something in the for everyone.

The idea took inspiration from the brilliant guidebooks many holiday cottages put together for you when you visit. They appreciate that staying somewhere is about so much more than the accommodation. You want to know the best place to eat in the area, and which pub to pop into before (and after) your meal for a drink. The next day, you may want to explore somewhere special, that's where the do's come in. The goal of Hidden UK Gems is to be the digital version of this, eventually covering the whole of the UK. Rest assured, not just any business can pay the fee and join the collection, they have to have that special something. That way, when you visit a Hidden UK Gem, you can feel safe in the knowledge that it isn't your average establishment.
