If you’re searching for the kind of escape that feels impossibly elegant but effortlessly easy, Ellerton Hall is the one.

Set in the quiet folds of the Shropshire countryside, this handsome Georgian manor is everything you’d want from a private house stay... warm, impressive, and just the right side of grand. The kind of place where you could celebrate something big, or simply retreat and pretend the rest of the world doesn’t exist for a few days.

The house sleeps up to 12 guests, across six spacious en-suite bedrooms. Each one is individually styled, with high ceilings, heritage tones and beautiful views across the grounds. Downstairs, you’ll find a drawing room, morning room and formal dining room, all designed for slow mornings, long suppers and cosy drinks by the fire. Ellerton Hall has found the perfect balance between having modern luxuries, whilst making you feel you've stepped back in time. You'll fall in love within minutes.

The kitchen is kitted out for serious feasting. Whether you’re cooking for yourself or bringing in a private chef. Our favourite feature is upstairs, where you'll find a light-filled orangery overlooking the garden. Outside, rolling lawns and wraparound countryside give you that rare sense of total peace. There’s a tennis court, private parking, and no neighbours for miles. Just stillness, views, and sky.

And while it may feel miles from anywhere, Ellerton Hall is just over an hour from Birmingham and even closer to historic towns like Shrewsbury and Ironbridge. The location makes it an easy choice for a weekend getaway, a group stay, or whatever your heart desires.

But what really sets it apart is the atmosphere. There’s something about this place that makes you slow down. That makes you want to linger a little longer after dinner, to wander the garden barefoot with a coffee, to lose track of time in the best way possible. It’s not just a beautiful house, it’s a feeling.
