This post is part of the launch of something that we have been working on for a while and are very excited to announce. Hidden UK Gems - Uncovered is a gallery, starting with twenty eight of the most picturesque and photogenic places in the UK, of which we will be launching four more each month. We decided to use the brilliant tool of 'What3Words' for this, which assigns GPS coordinates three word addresses. This gives precise locations of where things are, and has allowed us to be completely accurate about where these shots were taken from, down to the angle. This is achieved as each three word address is unique to a 3m x 3m area. There are a couple of ways this can be really beneficial. Firstly, if you are ever lost or can't explain to someone exactly where you are, you can open the app, find out your What3Words address, and people will be able to get to your precise location. The other way, as we are using with our 'Uncovered' launch is that if you are given the What3Words code for somewhere, you can type it into the app, and through integration with all your favourite map providers, you can be directed there. This is much better than a postcode which A) Not everywhere has. B) Is not ideal for the middle of the countryside. C) When finding a property, up to 100 other properties can share the same postcode.
