For some time, they had 2 successful holiday lets in the area, and have now expanded their portfolio, bringing all properties under the Lake District Hideaways name. These hideaways have been recently renovated by the owners with interiors that strike the perfect balance between cosy and sophisticated, there really is something for everyone. The Area:

The Lake District oozes charm, tranquility & beauty. It really is no surprise that it was voted Britain's favourite National Park. Whilst there, what better place to stay than Bowness-on-Windermere. A gateway to the mountains and lakes around it, this superbly located town is the ideal base for a trip to the Lake District, all year round. Trains from most of the UK will arrive in to Oxenholme Lake District, which is then just a 20 minute connecting train to Windermere. It is also just 15 minutes from the M6, making it very easily accessible, however you plan on getting there. The town itself is home to a plethora of bars, restaurants, cafes and pubs, so you will certainly be well fed and watered. To make it even more desirable, the people are friendly and always stopping for a chat. It really is a town to experience for yourself, not least for the breathtaking views that surround this true gem of the UK.

Bank Chambers is a stunning 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom apartment in the heart of Bowness-on-Windermere that has all the makings of an ideal hideaway. It boasts a roof terrace and outdoor seating for 6 people, BBQ, Hot Tub, parking permit for 2 cars & much more. Whether you're visiting as a group of friends, with other couples, or with the family, your needs will be met!
As you enter Bank Chambers and head up the first flight of stairs you will fall instantly in love with the charming interior of this recently renovated property. On the first floor you will find the extremely inviting super king sized double bedroom, with one of our favourite features, a beautiful fireplace! Work your way up to the second floor to 2 further super king sized bedrooms. This is where you really get to appreciate the stunning views on offer, as you look out onto the lakes and fells that surround Bowness. 
Two bathrooms in this property are en suite, with the third bathroom a fantastic wet room that has walk-in rain shower & underfloor heating. 
Some extras which help to make this apartment perfect include Coffee Machine, WiFi, TVs with Amazon & Netflix and Utility Room.
On top of all this, the location of Bank Chambers really does speak for itself, and this should definitely be your choice if you want to be in the centre of this wonderful town, surrounded by the many gems of shops, cafes & pubs it has to offer.

For those in search of something slightly more tucked away, look no further than Quarry House. Nestled in a cluster of cottages but still in a fantastic location close to everything Bowness has to offer, this stylish holiday home sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms. The first floor has two of these bedrooms. One with super comfortable king sized bed and the other with zip link super king sized bed that can be separated into twin beds if required. Then, downstairs you will find the third, double bedroom, which benefits from its very own shower room.

We love the blue theme and the colours throughout have been carefully chosen to really bring out the charm of this wonderful Lake District property. Miss Potters Loft -

Miss Potters Loft is a charming first floor apartment that sits in the centre of Bowness. It is yet another of Lake District Hideaways properties that offers stunning views over Lake Windermere. Perhaps you are staying in the area as you are a big Beatrix Potter fan? Well, you've come to the right place. Miss Potters Loft is located directly above the world of Beatrix Potter Exhibition! This property does not have outdoor space, however, it does have a Juliette balcony so you can breathe in the views. Also, its location in the heart of the town means there is a whole host of exploring to do, just outside your door. 
Sleeping 4, with 2 bedrooms & 1 bathroom, Miss Potters Loft has the advantage of private, off road parking for one car. This really would be the perfect base for a family of 4 to explore the local area. They even have a Nintendo Wii, to keep everyone entertained on those lazier afternoons! Authenticity and character run throughout this property and it is definitely one you will instantly feel at home in.

Staintons is one of our personal favourites in the Lake District Hideaway's collection. It is a seriously stylish first floor apartment in an excellent location. One of its strengths is its versatility. The double bedroom on the first floor has integrated spotlights & USB ports in the king sized bed and is the perfect room for a couples retreat. However, in the lounge, the sofa has the ability to turn into a comfy double bed, which then allows Staintons to sleep 4! The interior throughout has been carefully considered, and we love the warm feel that the yellow theme brings. 
This property also has off road parking for one car and all the consistent features including Smart TV, fast WiFi, Coffee Machine, Washing Machine & more. The cosiness, combined with its central location means that whether you are opting to stay in, or go out, you can't go far wrong with Staintons!

Rose Cottage -

The new kid on the block, Rose Cottage, was added to the Lake District Hideaways website late April, and it certainly is a welcome addition...
This property is a charming, stone fronted, mid-terrace self catering cottage, in the wonderful Windermere. Rose Cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and is the perfect getaway for 4 people. What sets this property apart is its beautiful garden, complete with outdoor seating & BBQ. The dreamy interior design of this cottage makes it an instant winner as soon as you walk through the door. They really have thought of everything you will need for your Lake District staycation. At Hidden UK Gems, we know when you are on holiday, it is the little things that add up.
