New to the Collection - February 2026
We love launching new regions.
There’s something exciting about building a collection from scratch and watching it go live. But as Hidden UK Gems grows, it’s just as important to keep strengthening the collections we already have.
So from now on, the last Friday of every month will be a little different.
Instead of launching a brand-new location, we’ll be adding carefully selected new listings into our existing collections — places we’ve visited, vetted and feel genuinely deserve a spot.
Today is the first of those.
Across Wales, Cornwall, The Peak District, The Cotswolds and The Midlands, we’re adding a fresh group of gems that build on what’s already there.
Wales
The Hunters Moon Inn, Abergavenny
A proper Welsh country pub with rooms, great local food and a setting made for walkers exploring the Black Mountains.

Pwll Court Retreat, Crickhowell
A beautifully converted barn complex sleeping up to 12, complete with hot tub and big countryside views. Ideal for family get-togethers and friends’ weekends.

Cornwall
A restored Victorian townhouse just ten minutes from the promenade, offering boutique-style stays with plenty of light and character.

Big Green Adventures, Crantock
The only regulated activity provider operating directly on Crantock Beach. Surfing, coasteering, paddleboarding and more — all run properly, with small groups and strong environmental values.

The Cotswolds
The Old Mission Church, Paxford
An architect-designed conversion of an 1866 church, winner of the Muddy Stilettos ‘Best Boutique Stay’ award for Gloucestershire & Worcestershire and a UK top five finalist nationally.

A heritage Cotswolds cottage sleeping up to 16 guests, with hot tub, open fire and landscaped gardens, set within the grounds of Cotswold Manor near Bath and Bristol.

The Midlands
A design-led coffee shop with luxury soft play for ages 0–4, balancing quality coffee with a calm, thoughtfully designed space for families.

The Peak District
A Grade II listed Georgian-style hotel in the heart of the Derwent Valley, offering refined dining, heritage detail and easy access to the Peaks.

Swinney Wood Log Cabins, Belper
Woodland log cabins with hot tubs and privacy built in — tucked away, but well placed for exploring Derbyshire’s rolling countryside.

Hidden UK Gems has always been about thoughtful curation. Not just adding places for the sake of it, but selecting the ones that genuinely stand out.
These monthly drops allow us to keep building depth in the collections you already know and trust, while we continue working on future regional launches behind the scenes.
Have a browse, save your favourites, and as always, let us know where you’re heading next!
