Hidden UK Gems | The Somerset & Wiltshire Collection is now live
Somerset and Wiltshire don’t need to shout.
They unfold slowly. Through rolling hills and cathedral cities. Through cider orchards, limestone gorges and long pub lunches that turn into evenings by the fire. It’s a landscape shaped by farming, folklore and market towns that feel lived in all year round.
Today, we’re proud to launch our Somerset & Wiltshire Collection — a carefully curated mix of places to Stay, Eat, Drink & Do. From rural retreats and glamping under big skies to bakeries, community pubs and hands-on experiences, this is a collection built for weekends away and midweek resets alike.
Stay
Across the region, you’ll find places that understand the value of slowing down.
In Glastonbury, Hunter’s Moon offers character and comfort in equal measure, while Seven Sisters Retreat leans fully into the town’s layered history with a stay that feels immersive and memorable.
For countryside calm, Hide on the Hill above the Somerset Levels delivers wide views and proper peace, and Dilton Vale Farm offers a restorative rural base where barn owls and deer are part of the scenery.
Glamping is well represented too. Mill Farm Glamping in Poulshot pairs Wiltshire farmland with thoughtful comfort, while Kilima Retreats in the Quantock Hills brings design-led domes and stargazing into the mix.
For something different, The Studio, Cheddar makes a smart base near the Gorge, and The Mill Barn, Somerset offers a streamside escape designed for easy days and long evenings.

Eat
This collection is full of places that quietly become your regular.
River Cale Café is a community favourite with a generous gluten-free offering and a park-side setting that makes stopping simple. In Bristol, Pipp & Co draws queues for good reason, fresh doughnuts that rarely make it home intact.
For heritage baking, T.G. Pullins continues a century of tradition across Bristol and North Somerset, while Flourish near Bath blends seasonal plates with a relaxed, food-hall feel.
And in the city, Bright’s Café proves that the right coffee and pastries can turn a neighbourhood spot into a destination.

Drink
Country pubs remain at the heart of this region.
Alhampton Inn is community-owned and full of warmth, equally suited to a winter pint or a summer evening in the garden.
Over in Leigh on Mendip, The Bell Inn keeps things classic — a proper village pub serving good food and local pours without fuss.

Do
There’s plenty here beyond the usual sightseeing.
At Bristol & Bath Rum Distillery, you can blend your own bottle in the Rum School and get hands-on with one of the region’s most recognisable spirits.
The Hall Estate in Bradford on Avon offers history, gardens and events in a setting that feels both grand and welcoming.
For something slower paced, Stripy Duck in Bruton combines bookshop calm with excellent cake, while Bath City Farm offers green space, animals and views across the city that make you forget you’re in one.

The Heart of It All
This collection captures a different side of the South West. Not just the postcard landmarks, but the places that locals recommend and visitors remember.
Every stay, café, pub and experience has been chosen because it adds something meaningful to a trip, whether that’s a view, a story, a plate of food done properly, or simply the feeling of finding somewhere you didn’t expect.
The gems mentioned here only scratch the surface.
