There are two cabins to choose from, each sleeping up to four guests and offering its own perspective on the surrounding landscape. Heron Bay sits beside Loch Linnhe itself, with direct access to the shoreline and far-reaching views across the water, while Otterbank occupies a peaceful position beside the Kiachnish River where it meets the loch.

Inside, both provide comfortable and well-equipped spaces for settling in after a day exploring the Highlands. Fully equipped kitchens make self-catering straightforward, while cosy living areas and fires create an inviting place to return to when the weather turns. Otterbank also features a substantial deck overlooking the water and a deep double-ended bath in its en-suite bedroom.

The location is particularly appealing for anyone who wants to combine a quiet Highland base with easy access to some of Scotland’s best-known landscapes. Fort William is only a short drive away, with Ben Nevis, Glen Nevis and the surrounding mountains providing exceptional walking and outdoor adventures. Head south and Glencoe can be reached in around 20 minutes, while Glenfinnan, the Great Glen and the wider West Highlands offer plenty more possibilities for days out.

There is plenty to enjoy without travelling anywhere at all. Guests at Heron Bay have direct access to Loch Linnhe for watersports and wild swimming, while the surrounding croft and shoreline attract an abundance of birdlife and wildlife, including the possibility of spotting otters.
