Bradmore House, Queen Caroline St, London W6 9BW

There is something instantly welcoming about Kindred. Perhaps it is the warmth of the restored rooms, the gentle hum of people working and talking, or simply the fact that this place was created to make meeting others feel a little easier.

Set across three beautifully restored floors of Bradmore House, a Grade II listed building in the heart of Hammersmith, this independent community space brings together coworking, cultural events and private hire under one rather handsome Baroque roof.

The building alone makes an impression. Beyond its historic façade lies a collection of characterful rooms designed for working, meeting and gathering, from relaxed shared spaces to intimate private rooms and larger settings suited to celebrations, conferences and creative events. Hammersmith station is only a two-minute walk away, yet stepping inside feels noticeably removed from the bustle outside.

Coworking sits at the heart of Kindred’s everyday rhythm. Open from Monday to Friday, it offers a comfortable alternative to both the conventional office and the anonymous coffee-shop desk. The atmosphere is friendly and informal, with beautifully designed surroundings and regular opportunities to meet the people working alongside you.

Connection, rather than productivity alone, is the real point here.

Kindred’s homegrown cultural programme, The Campfire, fills the building with talks, performances, workshops and gatherings designed to encourage better conversations between Londoners. Its annual TogethernessFest explores the problem of loneliness in the city, while monthly community dinners invite 100 guests to sit down and share a meal together, removing many of the usual barriers to meeting someone new.

That community-minded approach extends beyond Kindred’s own programme. Through its We Make Space initiative, rooms are offered free of charge to local charities, grassroots organisers and community groups, with more than 20 organisations already welcomed into the building.

Kindred is equally compelling as a private events venue in West London. The adaptable spaces can host everything from meetings, product launches and private dinners to parties and weddings, with enough variety across the three floors to give each occasion its own shape. Period architecture, warm interiors and an experienced events team mean it feels distinctive without becoming impractical.

The much-loved Cellar restaurant has now closed in its previous form, but food and drink remain part of Kindred’s story through private events and a developing programme of pop-ups throughout the year.

Bradmore House has survived demolition, relocation and reconstruction during its centuries-long history. It seems fitting that its latest chapter should be as a place devoted to bringing people together.

Whether you arrive to work, attend an event or fill the building with your favourite people, Kindred offers something increasingly difficult to find in London: a beautiful space where genuine connection still comes first.
