Since the 1980’s, the Barbour family have been at the forefront of the slow food movement, operating their farm organically since then, and still today. This is a family completely committed to pouring everything into creating the best experience for all their guests, and the accolades received reflect this. With Green Tourism ‘Gold’ recognition, and silver at both 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 awards for excellence, their continuous improvement and hard work was rewarded with gold for the Best Self-Catering Accommodation of the Year in the Tourism South East award scheme 2023-2024! Upon visiting, it is easy to see why. The five cottages, set amongst 70 acres of North Oxfordshire Cotswold woodland and wild flower meadows have been converted from old stone farm buildings, to luxurious stays.

Everything about the cottages and location oozes calm, quality and character. Two of the cottages have private gardens with hot tubs, and there is also a lake which can be used for wild swimming for over 18’s. All stays have open fireplaces, unlimited wood, and of course, BBQ’s, for the complete outdoor dining experience. 

This is a rare find, as it perfectly balances being a great base for exploring the Cotswolds, whilst also being somewhere you could go to completely switch off, and not venture from the beautiful grounds for the duration of your stay.
