This historic stone-built property, with origins believed to date back to the 16th century, has recently undergone a transformation under new ownership that’s breathing fresh life into this Vale of Glamorgan treasure.
Taken over in April 2025, there’s exciting work underway to refresh the accommodation and spruce up the garden whilst maintaining the pub’s authentic character. Throughout this revitalisation, they’ve remained open, serving up proper tasty food that’s locally sourced and inspired by pub classics with delicious flavour combinations.

The menu is driven by local fare with elevated pub dishes, think smoked haddock fishcakes with fennel kimchi and yuzu mayonnaise, beer-battered haddock with crushed peas and tartare sauce, or butternut squash and potato pie for the veggie enthusiasts.

The eight comfy ensuite bedrooms on the first floor provide the perfect countryside retreat, whilst the pub’s streamside location at the heart of this idyllic village creates an irresistible setting.
